Your data, in plain words.
This site collects as little as possible. Here is exactly what happens when you use it.
Who runs this site
muratkoff.com is run by Murat Koff, an independent artist based in Montréal, Canada. Questions about your data: koffmurat@gmail.com.
What is collected, and why
- Contact form (Work with me): your name, email, subject and message. They are sent through the service Formspree to Murat's email, only to reply to you. They are kept as long as needed to answer and follow up.
- Newsletter (Inner Circle): your email address, stored with the service Mailchimp, only to send you new drops and news. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
- AI assistant: the text of the questions you type is sent to a small server function (Cloudflare) that forwards it to Anthropic (the Claude AI) to write an answer. This site does not store the conversations. Please do not share personal data in the chat.
- Search: runs entirely in your browser. What you search for is not sent anywhere.
- Language and player: your language choice and the music player state are saved in your browser's storage on your device, only to remember them. This site sets no cookies of its own.
- Hosting: the site is hosted by Netlify. Like any host, it processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages.
- Audience statistics: none at the moment. If this changes, it will be a cookie-free service and this page will be updated first.
Third-party content and links
Some pages embed YouTube videos and load fonts from Google Fonts. Links to Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Beatport, Amazon, DistroKid and the merch shop (Fourthwall) take you to other sites. When you load or click them, those services receive data under their own privacy policies.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate, Murat earns from qualifying purchases made through the gear page, and the DistroKid link gives you 7% off while earning Murat a referral reward. It costs you nothing extra and these recommendations are not sponsored.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data you sent through the contact form, or to be removed from the newsletter, by writing to koffmurat@gmail.com. This applies wherever you live, including Canada (Québec), the European Union and the United Kingdom.
