My first original
Up until Ghost, every track on my channel was a tribute remix — 2Pac, Bones, Jay-Z, DMX, Future. Each one a different angle on a sound I love. But there was always something building underneath: my own production, my own melodies, my own choices.
Ghost is the first track where I let it all live on its own. No sample. No remix. Pure creation. It's still inspired by the world of 2Pac — that mix of street weight and spiritual unease — but the entire architecture, every sound you hear, is built from scratch in my studio in Montréal.
The meaning
The word ghost kept coming back to me while I was producing this. Not in a horror sense. In the sense of a presence that never leaves. People we've lost. Versions of ourselves we've outgrown. Voices in our head that keep talking even when we want silence.
The track tries to hold that feeling without explaining it. Just slow basslines, atmospheric pads, the suggestion of something there. You don't need to see a ghost to feel one.

The production
Built entirely from scratch. The drums came first — slow, deliberate, deep house at 122 BPM. Then the bassline, low and warm, designed to sit just under the kick. The pads came last — layers of atmosphere that breathe across the full track, never competing with the bass, never disappearing.
FL Studio for the foundation. DJ.Studio for the final mix and mastering. The result is something I'm proud to call mine from start to finish.
